Letter 4 to my friend with cancer

All my thoughts on healing I’m passing on to you. I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but it doesn’t hurt to hear this over and over until we really grasp this in our spirits. That’s why I had that healing podcast on repeat when I had Stage IV cancer. I was hearing horrible stuff from the doctors and I needed to override that in my spirit.

When Jesus was on the cross, he was the most inhuman looking thing you ever saw. His body was wracked with the pain of all the cerebral palsy from the first to the last man who ever walked on earth. He bore every case of diabetes. Every case of cancer. Every mental disease. Every case of TB. Every case of dementia. Ever case of schizophrenia.………Every single disease.

With all those diseases on him, he looked terrible — no wonder people were astonished when they looked at him. I believe he looked far worse than any other crucified man. Every part of his body was writhing with disease. No one had ever taken millions of diseases on his body like Jesus did in that one moment in time.

14 [For many the Servant of God became an object of horror; many were astonished at Him.] His face and His whole appearance were marred more than any man’s, and His form beyond that of the sons of men—but just as many were astonished at Him. (Isa 52:14 AMPC).

We read that it was God’s WILL to cover him with all of mankind’s diseases because he loved you and me that much.

Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick. (Isa 53:10 AMPC).

We are asked to see our diseases on Jesus on that cross and hence, in that great exchange, to see our healing coming from that cross.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. (Isa 53:5 AMPC).

Be persistent. If your healing doesn’t come the first time you “see” your cancer on the cross, keep trying. Keep seeing your disease on Jesus where it belongs. See Jesus with your cancer. If He’s taken it, there’s no point in you keeping it.

I repeat —don’t see your disease on you — see it on Jesus. See it back on Jesus 2,000 years ago where it belongs.

Remember when Elijah was taken away from Elisha in a fiery chariot, that Elijah had promised Elisha that if he saw him taken away, then he would receive a double portion of Elijah’s spirit?

In exactly the same way, if you see your disease on Jesus, you will receive your healing. When you see it in the spirit, you will see it in the natural.

Don’t just imagine yourself healed - have faith vision that you will be healed.

Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—

3 Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,

(Psalm 103:2-3 AMPC).
